Meet your next Pokémon
Use this free random pokemon generator to discover a surprise from all 1,025 Pokémon across nine generations. Each discovery includes official artwork, types, and six base stats to help you get to know your new partner.
Choose your favorite types or generations to narrow the pool. Multiple types match any selected type, and generation filters work together with type filters. If your combination has no matches, generating falls back to the complete Pokédex.
Try shiny artwork for a different look, revisit your recent discoveries, or share a link with friends. Whether you are looking for drawing inspiration, a team challenge, or a new favorite, the random pokemon generator makes exploration easy.
How does the random Pokémon generator work?
Each Pokémon in the matching pool has an equal chance of being selected. With no filters, the generator chooses from all 1,025 Pokémon.
Can I filter Pokémon by type or generation?
Yes. Select one or more type badges and generation pills. A Pokémon must match a selected generation and at least one selected type. Clear the filters to explore the full pool.
Can I generate shiny Pokémon and share results?
Each card has its own Shiny switch that displays shiny artwork for that Pokémon. Use Share to copy a link that opens the same Pokémon. Recent discoveries are saved locally in your browser.
