Plan a team that covers its own gaps

A Pokémon team is stronger than the sum of its members only when their weaknesses overlap as little as possible. This analyzer stacks the 18-type chart across your team so you can see which attacking types hit two or more members for double or quadruple damage.

The coverage view works the other way around: it lists the defending types your team’s own types hit for super effective damage, and calls out the types nothing on the team can hit hard. Use it to decide whether you need a Pokémon with a different attacking type.

The type distribution shows where your team is stacked. Three Flying types may look thematic, but they share an Electric weakness and leave other attacking types uncovered. Swap one out and re-run the analysis to compare.

How are team weaknesses calculated?

Each member’s one or two types are multiplied by the attacking type using the standard 18-type chart. A weakness on one type (2×) and a resistance on the other (0.5×) cancel out to normal damage, while two weaknesses stack to 4×.

Does the analyzer account for moves or abilities?

No. The dataset holds types and stats, not movesets or abilities, so coverage is estimated from each Pokémon’s own types. Treat it as a starting point rather than a battle simulation.

Is my team saved?

Your team is stored in the page URL as a ?p= parameter, so sharing the link shares the team and reloading the same URL restores it. Nothing is sent to a server or stored in an account.
